What am I thinkin'???

Since I have decided to live acording to lists~(it's a memory thing...) I have discovered that it's not that I do not get alot accomplished it's that I have ridiculous expectations....great ones but still ridiculous...
I have a busy head and do l0ve my lists~they keep me on course~♥

Here is my list for this past weekend and it's sunday afternoon and I'm in trouble!l Oh my....
the first thing that tripped me up was that I found a lost dog~he was so adorable and so stinky and running thru traffic~so I scooped him up and put him in my Jeep and off to the dogpound we traveled..(owners found next day!!)
Then yesterday I got a call from my Maggies' breeder asking if we would like another puppy s0 off we go to see the cutest 7 month old named "Ollie". Hmmmmmmmm........still thinkin' on that one....

I did start my scrap quilt that  Jodi @ Pleasant Home (see the button for "Sew Scraps Along" on the side of this post) is s0 patiently walking us all thru~ it feels GREAT to use scraps and make a cute quilt! Feels like a "free" project of sorts...

And I created  a few more girls so they could get ready for their assignments......  : )

The Quilt that Love made....♥ Thank you Lizzy!

Take a little trip over to to admire the quilt top that Lizzie has created from some of the blocks donated to her from all over the world . This quilt is for her dear friend Sue.....(she will now make the backing from blocks as well!)
As I told Lizzie, she has managed to harness love from all around the world and create a wonderful gift for her friend who needs this positive energy.... :)
I think this quilt top represents to all of us, the deep~down reason we all love this quilty stuff...women using their hands and hearts creating a love you can actually touch and wrap around you when you need it~♥

Sewing weekend~♥

Kate has come to spend the long weekend with me in our sewing room~We both have a long list of side trips we hope to SQUEEZE in....

She  mastered the sewing machine on Friday and has been busy sewing  strips for the "Hourglass" quilt. She also enjoys ironing (!) so she travels between the machine and the ironing board just like the rest of us! Lol!

Yesterday, we were on one of our many road trips  and somehow started talking about problem solving and how some people can do it and others simply get stuck...

From the backseat I heard "I say just stick a pin in it."

 I said,"What do you mean?"

Kate said "When you can't solve a problem just stick a pin in it and leave it" " I saw it in a movie..."

In the future I will remember your advice my little one.....♥

A House in the Country needs your help~♥

Lizzie from is lovingly putting together a quilt for a good friend who is fighting for her life...she has had quite an outpouring from around the world reminding us that there is more good in the world than bad~we need to be reminded of that more often~Take a peek at all the pretty blocks on her blog!
For a chuckle~I carefully tucked my block inside a card and addressed it to Lizzie and left it on the counter until I could figure out postage to Australia.....later that day my husband saw it on his way out of the door and slapped one "forever" stamp on it and off it went! When I asked him how much was the postage for the letter he mailed he said "43 cents" "Why?" He had no idea it was on its' way to Australia~lol! Well it made it!! I thought for sure it would be promptly sent back to me....
