Sunday Quilting and cooking with Millie~♥
Early morning quilting for deadline~
Fun batiks!~ I have learned alot about batiks in the past few years and now have a better understanding of what works best with the busy busy designs~less is always more....
Millie wondering if I forgot our walk today....don't worry my friend~I will even light the woodstove for us later~♥ We have a new cookie recipe to try for Christmas and some home-made spaghetti sauce to get ready to simmer this afternoon~
I enjoy your quilting so much! Did you get a new puppy? Have a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThank you Elizabeth! Millie has been with us for about 9 months now. We co-own her with Tip of the Shore labradoodles and this will be her forever home when she is finished breeding She is the best little girl!! E
DeleteGreat quilt and wonderful quilting!! And that Millie is soooooo cute!! Will she help you with the cookies??
ReplyDeleteMillie helped by licking all the peppermint dust that fell from the crushed candy! She stays pretty close by when I am cooking. E
DeleteCute dog. The quilt is gorgeous! I'll bet that spaghetti was good.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Janet
The sauce always serves two purposes.....it fills the house with a sense that maybe a cook lives here and again when you have plenty to eat and enough to share when daughter #2 stops by...E
DeleteWhat's your best batik 'tip' when it comes to quilting?
ReplyDeleteI think the most important thing is to remember that thread designs really compete with batik designs Do rest easy and quilt a loose swirly design or circles or. geometric designs.....and work with your tension so the thread buries itself into the sandwich and is not left to lie on top of the backing. E
DeletePuppy "Miss Millie" is just to cute, Robin!!!
ReplyDeleteYour quilting is beautiful!
