Bump in the road~hooking~lesson on PATIENCE~

My HQ16 has been SOLD and taken to her new home~to a newly retired nurse full of excitement and dreams of longarmed goodness! My room looks very odd without my new machine yet set up.....patience....

I am starting my new year with a BIG lesson with PATIENCE ~I was having a wonderful time on Christmas day in Connecticut and had a fun ride home with lots of laughs with my husband and when it was time to hop out of the truck my left knee would not straighten.....I have a tear in the meniscus and will have surgery this Friday~I am in good hands and look forward to getting back on my feet!

St Patrick guarding the winter crop~♥

 My five house~any color I choose.....so fun!

My new best friend~we are getting closer every day......btw has EVERYONE but me heard Rumer sing? She has a clear beautiful voice and she is my new favorite!

My new empty (sort of..) space. Do not enlarge~you will see dust bunnies...risky business enlarging photos~

In the meantime I have found Rumer and have 5 houses to hook and the BEST kids and husband a gal could wish for~so the lesson is mine to be patient and to let the week play out while I play in the house.....chair.....♥

    1. Thank you Pokey! And yes I replaced my machine with an Avante which is only 2" deeper but all around has a lot of upgrades. I cannot wait to get my hands on it!! But in the meantime I have PLENTY to keep me busy in my sewing room.!

  4. Love your house(s). Haven't gotten in to the hooking thing (although my neighbor/friend teaches that and has her own pattern business in that craft). Because I am "space challenged", I just (last Nov.) purchased a HQ Sweet Sixteen sit-down machine and am loving it!!!! May this "time of reflection" be a blessing to you and others. Hugs, Doreen

  8. Enjoyed finding your blog (the twins quilts are amazing) and have joined. The knee is not good (last year broke my ankle while undergoing chemo and was bed ridden - it was hell). Keep your laptop nearby and blog hop its fun!

  9. Thank you for stopping by Girasole Farm, I see you are a new follower there.
I'm popping over to say "Hello".
Your quilts are positively beautiful. I'm just getting back into quilting, it's been a long, long, time since I have made any quilts. I've always hand quilted, but the arthritis in my hands will no longer allow me that sort of intricate work. I am currently working on a quilt, and for the first time ever, I will actually have to send it off to be machined quilted. Needless to say I am quiet novice in my machine quilting knowledge.
I'll be following along here with you, and perhaps learn a bit more.
Your family is beautiful, and I can see the love you have for them shine through your words.
    I am a Grammy to 3 gran-baby girls, I adore them.
    Have a lovely day.
