FLUfF and BuFf~more sweet words for Lily~Spring has Sprung!

Colleen over at MYBLANKIES has an excellent eye for fabric color and placement along with choosing the "sweet" pieces of fabric from the baby clothes~ It looks like this sweetie pie loves her owls~
One thing for certain she will love the texture of the soft flannels and brushed cottons of her flags and some tiny pockets for her secrets....

I am always checking and rechecking the spelling and instructions from the boss....

Millie looking pretty fabulous after a "fluff and buff"

and the backing......great job Colleen! We quilters love our backings don't we?

I'm so glad this Mom didn't ask for quilting over the little flags...They are designed to be cuddled for their softness and some have pockets to play in.....

Looking for "Friends of Gladys Taber" and a full day of quilting on this first day of SPRING!

Thanks to Susan Branch I have become a friend of Gladys Taber~ my first newsletter came in the mail this week....along with some of her books.....can't wait for bedtime....

I have a full day ahead of me for my little people quilts.....

Bunnies peeking out cheering this old broad on.....lol!

I also got a BUNCH (ebay) of new thread so I can begin to HAND quilt my wonky basket quilt. I watched and was inspired by other bloggers using perle cotton. One was Cabbage quilts and the other was Molly Flanders. I am drawn back to the simplicity of the stitching and then of course,.....those colors!!

Look at these colors! I can't stand it...

Millie is reminding me that it IS THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING!!!!! HELLO!! ARE WE GOING FOR A RIDE TO GET A MUNCHKIN??

We are busy working on our borders in class. Not that we are all done with the top..Its just that we need to approach the borders little by little if we are to finish up this quilt in our LIFETIME!

Lots of circles to share in class....I make them while I sleep...lol! Look at the beautiful fabrics everyone gets in their monthly kits!
This is the top border we were working on yesterday~ OMG....

Millie patiently waiting her turn....maybe a dog biscuit...maybe a spool of thread? Its all the same to her tastebuds....
