These "giving baskets" gave me a little something to do while I had the flu~I kept them close and worked on them a little each day~sometimes only a few minutes~and as you can see they really do add up! I am about a week and a half behind schedule with my quilts but I am catching up quickly! Looking forward to semester break this December when I can go full guns with my quilting machine~ Until then slow but sure...:)

This quilt pattern is a perfect match for me, as Oprah and I are working on our last year and a half closing out a project...~hers is her show and mine is my commitment to help out with my munchie grandchildren while their Dad completes law school...so to partner a quilt with this process is just what I needed~
This pattern is called Trick or Treat but I like to think of it as giving baskets from family members who have contributed to this young family to help them establish a firm footing~ My daughter has contributed many "baskets" as she works very hard to keep the family afloat financially...My husband and I watch the "rascals" and so on...every "basket" counts in life~
So on to the next ten!

Finally I feel like I am among the living!! I am going out today in search of my life after two weeks with the flu~
I have my kleenex in my sleeve and "gas in my tank" and I will be out and about once again!
The next order of business of course is to get crackin at the quilts I have lined up for my wonderful and understanding quilters~
A special thank you to my swedish sister Maureen who is generously hosting Thanksgiving this year for our family~
So in the meantime cover your coughs and sneezes, wash, wash, wash, and get the H1N1 vaccine if it is offered to you~
