Sometimes the quilting has to be about the piecing and not the thread~

Here is a gift from a great grandmother for a wedding gift.....threadties finished last night...ready for pick~up tomorrow! What a lovely piecing job with meticulously matching points.....no running over these blocks with thread.....so pretty~

Do you have a favorite? Quilter?

I have many......one lives in Cali and all of her quilts are magnificent! So much so that she inspired me to buy a line of French General fabric to call my own~
As I work on this Cali girls quilts I have imagined them hanging quite nicely on my porch or in my family room....but in the end they are sent on their way to this kindred colorway spirit I have discovered thru my blog~
So sitting for a minute with my fabric and wondering what to do with it I remembered this pattern I bought this year that I was drooling over called....

My French General fabrics will take this quilt in a new direction which will be interesting...for me..
All I know for sure is that I will love it because I have seen the big picture with my Cali girls quilts....
speaking of which is next up on my machine....with a Thank You card in advance.....oh my...right?
 I love my job...
